Positive: The apartment is beautifully decorated with plenty of storage in the bedroom, a comfortable bed with lots of pillows and cushions.The kitchen is well equipped, seating is at a breakfast bar, in the living area or on the balcony. It felt very safe with a security gate at each end of the apartment block and 2 sets of keys, which is very helpful. The apartment is next to the bus stop, close to pharamacy, supermarket and a selection of bars and restuarants. The nearest beach is over the road, with a 10 min walk to Playa del Ingles and a 30 min walk to Vueltas with its harbour and small beach. You can get to Valle Gran Rey from San Sebastian by car, bus or a Fred Olsen Express ferry (to Vueltas). We liked Valle Gran Rey so much we extended our stay.

Negative: The patio door was very difficult to open initially but the agency acted prompty to get some help to improve it. The building opposite is derelict but dont let that put you off.
