Welcome to Dorres, a charming village in the Catalan Pyrenees, at an altitude of 1500 m, on the border between France and Spain.
We offer simple, affordable accommodation in our modest 17th-century house. Our luxury is our open door to nature and Cerdane culture!
The accommodation
The accommodation is a very old, typically Cerdane granite building, dating from the 17th century. It's the oldest house in the village! It is said to have once been a travellers' relay. Currently undergoing renovation, it's still a little out of kilter... hence the idea of an AirBnB to finance the refurbishment work. But rest assured, it's clean and warm ;-)
South-facing, it offers a lovely view of Spain and the southern peaks.
You can also enjoy the fresh air and sunshine in our communal garden adjoining the house and the Musée du Granit.
Other comments
As mentioned above, the house is in the process of being renovated, so it's still in its original state, which certainly gives it its old-fashioned charm. So don't be too hard on the rustic, not to say slightly outdated, facilities.
But rest assured, our warm welcome and table d'hôte will raise the bar. Our luxury is our open door to nature and Cerdane culture!
