Our house is just 40 minutes north of Barcelona and we offer an independent and detached guest house (the Casita) on our Finca. The Casita is next to our main house on a 25,000m2 plot of land making it wonderfully quiet and ideal for people who want to get away from the crowds but still be close to the beach and Barcelona. The house is next to a golf course and in an exclusive residential area with spacious villas, so neighbours are quite a distance away. It is at an altitude of about 250 metres and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean. We are just minutes away from 3 golf courses, 7 minutes (by car) from the beach and direct access to natural parks for hiking and mountain biking. We are a Dutch couple and live with our 3 dogs and 2 cats, who roam freely. We speak Dutch, English, Spanish, French & German.
The Casita is a 45m2 guest house and has a living room with open-plan kitchen fully equipped (oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee machine & washing machine), double bed, bathroom, air conditioning & heating, Wi-Fi (fibre optic). Unfortunately, our property is not suitable for guests with limited mobility due to the hilly terrain.
We welcome our guests to walk around freely, except in the private area of the main house. From the guest house you have direct access to the grounds and this takes you from the chicken coop, to the Bali bed, pool, Tiki Bar, Jeux de Boule and vegetable garden. All these areas are shared with us and our guests. The pool is normally closed between November and the end of April - depending on the weather. During that time the hottub and sauna will be available for a small contribution for the wood, bathrobe etc.
We are a Dutch couple who came to Spain about 10 years ago. Before coming to Spain, we lived in the Netherlands, England, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Belgium, Germany and France. But the Mediterranean part of Spain captured our hearts. So we finally settled here. We love nature, animals and peace and quiet, as well as good cooking, food and wine. We live here with our 3 dogs, 2 cats and 11 chickens that provide fresh eggs daily.... Although our dogs are friendly and loving, we recommend that as guests you are comfortable with dogs as they roam freely on the property and may greet you regularly.
Our house is located between two nearby villages, but is quite remote and only accessible via a forest road (500 metres). We recommend that our guests have a vehicle. Free parking is possible on or right next to the house.
he Mediterranean climate makes it possible to play golf all year round. There are 55 golf courses in Catalunya, three of which are just around the corner (few minutes' drive). Many others, such as PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness, within a 45-minute drive. The Costa Brava starts just 35km from the house. For more information on interesting day trips related to culture, nature or gastronomic experiences, just ask us.
As we want to offer peace and quiet in a beautiful natural environment, parties or excessive noise that can be disturbing are not allowed. We prefer bookings from visitors who seek peace and quiet and want to enjoy beautiful excursions from here. We would like to point out that we cannot admit more people than indicated at the time of booking (maximum 2). This means that the use of the grounds including the swimming pool is only for the guests who have booked. And because we live in a protected natural park, open fires are not allowed.
